LET GO!

Eyes wide opened, I gazed at her again, I couldn't believe she was the same girl I sat in class with for the past two years, I mean this was Talia, the most generous, positive, supportive beautiful girl the whole school loved and adored, how could she have been through this all and alone without being suicidal?Wow.
'Hey! are you ok?',
'Ugh? Oh yeah sorry' Talia was just thinking
, 'How did you go through all these without....
'Killing myself?,smiling she replied,
'I guess I've always wanted to just know what the next day holds', it wasn't easy, but I know what I do today is important cause am exchanging a day of my life for it.
'Wow'.
'Will talk later OK? But remember what I told you,OK.'
'OK'.
As she left,I looked at her and I realized if at two months old she was abandoned by her mom, raped at seven till she turned fifteen by her aunt's husband, shamed by the same man to cover up his acts, called a prostitute and a home breaker by her aunt when she finally opened up, She was shunned by society for not keeping quiet, shaking my head I could only imagine how she had lived through life, living in the same house with her molester always  lurking around and actually not being able to do anything about it ,"hmm"!well like she said "Never give up on yourself".

To be continued...

  1. I wish she could take a bold step towards that molester of hers. Yes, I'm talking violence, big one.
As for the girl, she is an embodiment of endurance. She is strong and...idk. I feel for this character, as I know there are many like her out there, being molested and shamed on the daily by their close relatives.

May, this is so beautiful. I love every part of it. Every sentence and I love the construct. Keep up the good work.
